About CarFest North
CarFest North is an independent editorial project about driving routes, northern England and British cars. The route book brings together places to visit, researched arrival points and time out of the car. The notebook takes a longer look at the cars and places along the way.
The itineraries are editorial suggestions; they are not organised tours. Each route includes its own sources, checks and practical notes.
An independent project
This site is not the official CarFest website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CarFest or Silverstone. For the event itself, use the official CarFest website.
Illustrations and maps
The home-page landscape and the lane drawing used beside the site name were created with AI. They depict an imagined northern landscape and do not document a particular road or village. Photographs accompanying the articles show real subjects and have separate credits below.
Map previews use the same route data as the full itineraries. Map data: OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL. Road routing: OSRM. The full route pages provide zoom controls, marked stops and links to Google Maps.
Photographs
Home-page photographs are shown without cropping. The original credit and source are also included with each article.
